One area of emphasis included in the mission statement of Duchesne High School is service. Many of our students, staff and community members have embraced this, and are striving to provide service and give back to our community. Here are some highlights of the good things happening at Duchesne High School

  • Thanksgiving Dinners-DHS students and staff collected and distributed 13 Thanksgiving dinners to families in the community.
  • KLIC- (Keeping Love in the Community) is a community organization that provides support to families affected by cancer. After the passing of a former DHS student and mother of current and former students, the DHS Student Body Officers sponsored a “Penny War” competition to raise money to be donated to KLIC. Over $300 was collected in just a few days.
  • “Eagle Pantry”- In a joint effort between DHS and the community, we have opened the “Eagle Pantry” which is stocked with food and other necessities. The pantry of available to all DHS students. Students and their families can come in and get food or other items that they may need. Backpacks full of food are made for students to take home over the weekend.
  • Sub-4-Santa- DHS participated in the Sub-4-Santa program this year and collected food, gifts, clothing and money donations to help local families in need. The money collected was donated to the local chapter of the Lion’s Club. The food and other collected items were made available to local families in need.
  • Amazing Community members-DHS is fortunate to be located in a community full of amazing people. We receive donations for the “Eagle Pantry” on a regular basis. If the shelves are running low, a simple message on Facebook is all it takes to have the community step up and help with this valuable service. Just today, an amazing community member who would like to remain anonymous, made a cash donation in memory of Robert Eyre (1951-2023). This donation covered the negative balances of over 50 students’ lunch balances. Absolutely amazing! The community is a great example to our students.

We are blessed to live in such a supportive and giving community. Thank you, DHS community, for your continued support. It is greatly appreciated.
