Students of the Week

Samuel Kravet

Samuel is consistent with turning in his schoolwork, and I never have to wonder whether he will be at rehearsal or not. If all students showed his level of dedication to learning, I might be out of a job.

Kache Reilley

Not only has Kache shown a high rate of understanding for the knowledge taught in my class, he is also consistently helpful in things outside of academia. He is always among the first to help move chairs where I want them or put them away when needed, And to otherwise volunteer when I ask for help with something.

Hello Staff! Please watch the attached digital invitation to this year's 4th annual BASIN NATION!

https://www.youtubeeducation.com/watch?v=4RaTwJrAYlA

We hope you consider joining our RJHS Concert Band, in collaboration with students and teachers from Union, Altamont and Duchesne High School and community members from our wonderful Basin Community!

The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and will display an incredible range of power, emotion and delight in the music performed!

Our students have been working so hard, and we are so excited for all to come and enjoy!

Your attendance and support for this event, whether on or off stage, is greatly appreciated and welcome! Research has proved that music has a profoundly positive impact on student academics, achievement, and development of social and life skills. It is vital to our students and to our Uintah Basin communities and we appreciate all who support the arts! And our students especially love to see their teachers there in support of them!

Thank you, and we hope to see you there!

Purpose and Procedure

Thank you for your willingness to provide feedback through this School Climate Survey! The information you provide in this survey will remain anonymous. Your complete honesty will help the school understand what is going well and what needs improvement. There is a limit of one survey per person per school. (Exception: A person who is employed at the school and has a child attending the school will be allowed to take separate surveys. They will need a separate email address.) There is no opportunity to provide written feedback in the School Climate Survey, but there will be an opportunity to provide written feedback in a separate way.

People of all roles will go into the same survey, however, there will be different questions for those in different roles. The survey is designed in such a way as to inform schools of their progress toward the mission of our school district, the DCSD Portrait of a Graduate, and Portrait of a Staff in the areas of education, etiquette, and environment.
Please use the following link to complete the survey:

Duchesne High Community,
On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Duchesne High School will be hosting the 2026 Region Drill Team Championships. This event will bring six drill teams, along with their coaches, families, fans, and judges, to the school beginning at 12:00pm. In order to facilitate this event, that day will be a Friday schedule with classes ending at 12:35pm, and students being dismissed from school at that time. Lunch will be served just as it is on Friday. This schedule will only apply to Duchesne High School, not Duchesne Elementary. Therefore, buses will run at the normally scheduled times. Any students who need to ride the buses home will be provided with learning opportunities and activities while they wait for the buses.

Hey Duchesne County, gather ‘round,
We’ve got a challenge hitting town!
A jingle contest, rap or rhyme,
About showing up — on time!
Attendance matters every day,
It helps you learn, it helps you play.
So bring your beat, your voice, your flair,
Show the district you’ll be there!
Show up, shine bright —
Do your best, take flight!
Make a jingle, make it clever,
Attendance matters more than ever!
